About Us
Based in Alligator Creek, Queensland, just 30 minutes south of Mackay and launches from Hay Point for Fishing Charters. Cast and Catch Charters operates “Obsession”; A custom-built 24 Foot vessel built by sea prowler boats, it is in 2c survey for 6 passengers, comfortable fishing with 4, with the latest in technology specifically designed to couple comfortability with utility for the local experience of sport fishing the region has to offer.
Powered by two 150 EFI Mercury 4 strokes to get you quickly and safely to your fishing destination. Cast and Catch Fishing Charters make every effort to make your experience of a day's fishing with us as hassle-free as possible. Therefore we provide you with everything you need for a superior fishing experience by including all your bait and quality Shimano tackle, if you wish to use your own tackle, by all means, bring it along on the day.
Your comfort and safety are also important. Our vessel is equipped with all the mandatory safety equipment, sat phone for 24/7 communications, a private toilet, and cabin space. In addition to this, our tours provide lunch, morning and afternoon tea, fruit platters and water.

Fishing Charters
Join Alvan aboard the "Obsession" for a day fishing out on the water. There is a minimum requirement to have four people per charter. Singles and couples are welcome if happy to be booked with other single crews to make up numbers. Prices may vary depending on location and weather conditions ie. Closer inshore fishing.

From 7AM to 5PM
Whale Watching
Experience the spectacle of whale watching, a truly break taking awesome sight. Alvan will take you to the prime spots and locations within the region to spot these majestic creatures in all their awe. Prices will vary based on time taken to find whales

WEATHER PERMITTING
Unfortunately we don’t control the weather, if we did we’d be fishing everyday!
Also please be aware coastal forecasts are not accurate representations of weather conditions off shore.
REGULATIONS
We uphold all fishing regulations including all fish come back whole. This means nothing can be filleted on board by Law.
SAFETY
Safety is important to us! If we feel something or SOMEONE will compromise it in any way, we maintain the right to deny passengers on board. This includes but is not limited to person/s who are intoxicated. For this reason you may bring alcohol but a limit of one 6 pack per person will be in effect.
Please keep in mind that we maintain the right to make last minute cancellations on Charters if weather conditions are not to our standard. We take ours and your safety very seriously.
